At the Orangevale Food Bank, we’re incredibly grateful for our amazing community and volunteers year-round. However, we’re always overwhelmed by the generous contributions of food and outpouring of volunteers during the holiday season, particularly Thanksgiving.
2014 marked our third anniversary of serving Thanksgiving dinner to neighbors in need. In reflecting on past years, it’s remarkable to consider how much the event has significantly increased since 2012. This year, due to the efforts of countless contributions over 100 volunteers, we were able to pack and serve over 300 boxes for families in need in Orangevale and Fair Oaks.
We’d like to extend a special thanks to:
In addition, we appreciate the time given by our pint-sized volunteers, aged 3 and up, who made beautiful cards of encouragement to wish a Happy Thanksgiving to our neighbors, full of art, kind words, and love.
To have such an abundance of food, love and hope to share in our community has been a gift. We extend our sincere appreciation to all who supported our 2014 Thanksgiving activities. We’re incredibly grateful for the support and love within our community and wish a very Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.
