The Annual Chamber Mixer held at the Orangevale Food Bank included an evening of fellowship, celebration, great food and a little something new.
Members of the Orangevale and Fair Oaks Chamber of Commerce gathered together in their first joint event. Both Chambers shared with all their upcoming events being held in their communities. Brad Squires, Founder and President of the Community Foundation of Orangevale and Fair Oaks, spoke about Friends of the Food Bank and the opportunities for sponsorship. One of his largest undertakings this year will be the first “Big Day of Service” which is in the organization and planning stages. It will involve 25 combined community projects in Orangevale and Fair Oaks completed by 500 or more volunteers. More information and how you can get involved can be found at www.bigdayofservice.com.
In addition, Mr. Squires recognized deserving volunteers for their outstanding commitment to the core values of the Food Bank. This year’s award recipients are:
- All About People: Frances Harms
